Who is David Tran?

Simplicity is the underlying goal for every professional designer. However, I take it upon myself to really keep it simple (stupid). Whether the job pertains to flyers or to photography, I make sure that the message is conveyed persuasively. In my case, designs speak louder than words, so feel free to browse through my website and understand my concept of simplicity. As you visit this website, my portfolio will speak for itself as it contains a selection of my past and current work.

I am a freelance graphic designer and photographer living in Boston, Massachusetts. I graduated from Boston University College of Fine Arts in May 2007. David Tran Design was established in 2005 and then officially became mainstream in 2007 to respond to clients’ demands. I am currently working full time as a graphic designer for Constant Contact creating email template designs based on customer input using both new design concepts and pre-existing branding materials. I am currently enrolled as a Masters Degree candidate at Savannah College of Art and Design.

For two years, I worked as an intern at WCVB-TV News Channel 5 Boston designing on-air graphics for the broadcasting news and various projects such as signage and public service announcements (PSA). This experience gave me a lot of insight into the world of communication.

Later, I was involved with Vietnamese Community in Boston. I was chairman on the Design sub-committee of the Annual Tet New Year Event for three years. My passion for design is the motor behind my graphic creations ranging from marketing brochures and logos to ad products.

I have developed myself into a dynamic project manager who can oversee projects from concept to completion. I measure my success by the relationships I form with my clients and their numerous referrals. My clientele is diverse from a ballroom dance studio to a dental office. I intend to move forward into the future by excelling in both Graphic Design and Photography.
